The Borden Heritage Group meet on the second Wednesday of each month from 10:30 - 12 noon in the Parish Hall. We have have speakers who attend to shed light on the historical interests of Borden and the surrounding areas and we also organise visits to places of historical interest in and around Borden.

Borden Heritage Group was originally an idea born from a discussion of Borden Parish Council members and was established as an independent group in July 2010 to ensure that Borden’s history, its characters and events that have formed today's community are not forgotten and are available to all.

Our ongoing work includes encouraging the whole community to become involved, recording memories and interviews from our past and current residents, and creating an archive of historical documents and memorabilia. We host open days, invite regular speakers to events, and take part in fundraising events including Borden Fete.

For a small fee, our membership scheme provides newsletters, and a programme of events.

The Group has produced a series of four Heritage Trail Leaflets covering the whole of Borden parish, and interpretive boards in The Street and Oad Street. Our first book ‘Memories of Borden is on sale at meetings. We continue to fundraise and seek more grant funding opportunities so that we can offer a wider range of services for our community.

Please visit our website www.bordenheritage.co.uk where you can register for free and share your records and memories with us.

We look forward to your support.
